On The Boardwalk | Organ Trafficking | Croc’s Casino Resort | Isabella Cota Schwarz
This week Lisle and Corey kick of the show with some news from Jacó about the approval of a boardwalk being built on the length of the beach. With the project set to start, the municipality plans to add yet another great amenity to this growing beach community.
Dan Stevens from the Costa Rican times joins Corey to discuss the issue of organ trafficking in Costa Rica and whether the Chinese building an oil refinery will be another blight on the country’s “green” image.
Dag Hascall, owner of the new Croc’s Casino Resort, takes a moment for a quick phone interview to discuss the enormous new project set to open December 2014, in Jacó beach. Croc’s Casino Resort will be hiring over 300 new team members, again changing Jacó. Soon to be the biggest employer in the region, a destination in and of itself for tourists and locals alike and without a doubt, the most dramatic design and architectural wonder on the Central Pacific Coast.
Finally, Corey is honored to have a conversation with Isabella Cota Schwarz from Thomson Reuters. Isabella writes from San José, Costa Rica. Born in Mexico, she has worked as a journalist for numerous international news organizations including Grupo Reforma, BBC Mundo, Radio Netherlands Worldwide and Thomson Reuters.
