Driving in Costa Rica for Foreigners

This week I’m pleased to have in studio Rafael Vavlerde from Outlier Legal Services to clarify some of the laws regarding driving in Costa Rica on a foreign license. Many expats are in process for residency and are stuck in a limbo whereby they need to exit the country to renew a 90-day visa in order to drive. This clearly causes unnecessary headaches and expenses and Rafael is here to talk about what can be done.

Get more, accurate, information about getting a visa, or residency in Costa Rica.

Get more, accurate, information about getting a visa, or residency in Costa Rica.

This week is all about immigration.  With the blogosphere abuzz with “new” immigration laws supposedly affecting the 90-Day tourist Visa, Corey contacts Outlier Legal Services attorney Rafael Valverde to clarify and lay out options for individuals looking to live and work in Costa Rica.

Segment 2 is the usual call to Dan Stevens from the Costa Rican Times.  This week, Corey and Dan look at whether Costa Rica is becoming a new narco-state, luxury home taxes due shortly, and another increase in fuel costs in Costa Rica.
